Burger Planet is Shaping Up with Jayne Petersen

NEW YORK, NY- After helping Opal Whitcomb lose over 70 lbs., fitness guru Jayne Petersen is teaming up with Burger Planet to revamp healthy ideals. Burger Planet is an advocate in the campaign against child obesity. To show our support we are releasing a variety of new Jayne Petersen-approved menu items that promote a healthy lifestyle in addition to our original menu; which will remain unchanged.

At Burger Planet, we are proud of our heritage; providing delicious burgers and fries. We never want to change that fact. However, CEO James E. Muellenbach III commented, “We listen to our customers. And our customers desire healthy choices.” By teaming up with Petersen we are “taking concrete steps to provide more healthy choices and health education to our consumers.” says Sue Carlson, general counsel.

Petersen has been in the kitchen working side-by-side with our chefs to design healthy menu items such as the new all white-meat chicken sandwich. She is also developing new tray liners that will offer nutritional advice. Corny the Clown has even been captivated by the weight-loss craze and is in better shape than ever. They will be appearing together soon in commercial and in locations across the United States.

We know that parents are hard pressed for time, Burger Planet can help out. Everyone will love the adult Burger Planet Smiley Meal that will include an ankle weight, fruit packages, and a Chicken entrée. We also have new gourmet salads starting at $4.99 a piece. They are low-carb entrees. Each weighs in at 300 calories and only 150 calories without dressing. Each one has one of our famous Saturns layered on top.

We feel grateful to have the help of such an amazing person as Jayne Petersen helping us promote health and weight-loss. Petersen’s book has changed the lives of hundreds of people, including Opal Whitcomb.

Burger Planet was founded in 1934 and has served 52 billion customers and counting. There are 8,921 franchises across the U.S. We employ over 48,000 people and continue to be the Leader of the Quick Service Restaurant Industry.
